AntiDetect Top

Different tools. Different boundaries.

A useful comparison starts with the problem a tool solves. Explore privacy technologies by category, follow each project's own documentation and distinguish tracker blocking from device isolation or other kinds of protection.

Compare the mechanism, then the product

This directory introduces different approaches to privacy. Entries are examples within a category, not interchangeable alternatives or a scored recommendation. Read the linked documentation for current availability, supported platforms and limitations. Decide whether your concern is tracking inside a browser, requests from mobile apps or separation between computing environments before comparing feature lists.

An editorial directory of privacy technologies. Entries solve different problems; placement is not a ranking or an endorsement.

Browser extensions

Extensions add functionality to an existing browser. A tracker-blocking extension acts within the capabilities and permissions of that browser. AntiDetect belongs to this category. EFF's Privacy Badger is an independently maintained example with its own documented approach to blocking third-party tracking.

Extensions

Privacy Badger

EFF's browser extension for reducing third-party tracking. Read its documentation for the current protection model and supported browsers.

Browsers

A browser can include privacy protections directly in its settings and request handling. Firefox documents Enhanced Tracking Protection, including defenses against known trackers and cross-site tracking cookies. Compare both the selected protection mode and website compatibility; a browser's default settings and its stricter options can behave differently.

Browsers

Firefox

A browser with built-in Enhanced Tracking Protection. Its documentation explains protection modes and website compatibility.

Virtual machines and isolation

Virtualization can separate activities into different computing environments. Qubes OS uses compartmentalization as its security approach. Isolation is a different property from blocking web trackers: a separated browser session still needs its own privacy settings and informed browsing choices. Evaluate this category by the boundary it creates and the work needed to maintain it.

Virtual machines

Qubes OS

A security-focused operating system built around compartmentalization. It demonstrates a different protection boundary from browser tracker blocking.

Hardware

Hardware products need a precise description of the protection they provide. A device that protects credentials, separates a workload or filters a network addresses a different problem in each case. There are no hardware product entries in this directory yet. Custom virtual device work is described separately and is not a hardware privacy rating.

Android

Mobile tracking can involve requests from apps as well as from websites. DuckDuckGo documents App Tracking Protection for Android as a feature that blocks recognized third-party tracking requests from other apps. Its coverage and operating conditions belong in the comparison; a mobile feature should not be assumed to behave like a desktop browser extension.

Android

DuckDuckGo App Tracking Protection

An Android feature for blocking recognized third-party app trackers. Review the project's explanation of how it works and its limitations.

A directory before a leaderboard

Community voting is not open, and this page does not assign scores. A meaningful rating needs real participation, clear criteria and a way to distinguish a user's experience from a general claim about security or privacy. For now, use the original documentation and the knowledge base to make a comparison you can explain.
